Job Description

We are seeking a caring and motivated Healthcare Worker to support individuals with their daily living needs and promote their health, wellbeing, and independence. You will work as part of a dedicated care team providing high-quality, person-centred care in a safe and respectful environment.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities & Duties
Personal Care: Assisting with showering, bathing, toileting, and dressing.
Mobility Support: Helping patients move, transfer, and turn to prevent pressure sores.
Clinical Assistance: Monitoring, recording, and reporting vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, weight) and patient condition changes.
Dietary Support: Assisting with feeding and monitoring fluid intake.
Hygiene & Safety: Maintaining a clean environment, changing bed linens, and following infection control procedures.
Communication: Reporting patient needs to the multidisciplinary team and providing emotional support

Requirements

Requirements & Skills
Education: Often requires a QQI Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) in Healthcare Support.
Skills: Compassion, empathy, strong communication, and ability to work in a team.
Physical Stamina: Ability to handle physical aspects like lifting and long periods of standing.
Flexibility: Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and nights.
